The Dixie Academic Advisement Advancement Committee (DAAAC) has been created to serve as a governing body for the professional development of each advisor on the campus of Dixie State University. The purpose of the committee is to provide structure to the advancement process of academic advisors by overseeing the functionality of the following programs/events:
- Academic Advisement Advancement Program
- Advisor Recognition Program
- Quarterly roundtables & workshops
- Professional development opportunities for Academic Advisors
- End of year advisor recognition banquet
Members of the committee will include representatives from key areas throughout campus. These members would include faculty/ staff in the following roles:
- Assistant Director of Academic Advisement
- Academic Department Chairs
- Professors
- Lecturer/Advisor
- Program Advisor
- Student Services Staff Members
- Students
